All references to "Chiltern Mills" can be read as "Treymaine Ltd T/A Chiltern Mills". Chiltern Mills wants to be able to offer the best customer service to you as well as ensuring it complies with its legal obligations.
These terms and conditions apply to web site orders - store terms and conditions may vary.
We have set out clear terms and conditions to expand upon the way we deal with your order, our policy on delivery and refunds, and the information that we collect from the web site and how we use that information.
Orders placed by consumers are subject to the Laws of England and Wales.
Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by these terms and conditions either written or implied.

1. Ordering of goods
The buyer means the person who has bought or agreed to buy the goods from Chiltern Mills. The seller means Chiltern Mills, the supplier of the goods.
For each order that you make an e-mail will be sent to you confirming that your order has been received.
However, if at any time Chiltern Mills becomes aware of any detail, information or documentation that it feels should be checked after your order has been placed, we retain the right to cancel this order at any time before delivery.
If your order is not accepted, for any reason, Chiltern Mills shall inform you by e-mail within 3 working days of the order being placed.
Chiltern Mills reserves the right not to supply you goods at our discretion and will not deliver any order that has not been paid for in full.
All of our stock is subject to availability so in some cases we may not be able to supply the quantity of stock you have ordered. In the event that this happens or if there is a delay in your order we will contact you. Our website does not display live stock information, so we endeavour to keep sufficient stock levels and to notify you as soon as possible if an item is unavailable. You can contact us for stock information.
Some Curtains, Divans, Furniture and Blinds need to be ordered directly from the supplier. Usually items that need to be ordered by us can take up to 14 days to arrive, but on odd occasions this delay may be longer. In the event of a delay we will keep you informed.
The prices for the goods are those stated on the web site but these may be subject to correction without any liability on the part of the seller.
Chiltern Mills offers the goods to the Buyer in accordance with their quotation displayed on the web site.
Prices may vary by outlet, please contact us for advice.
The prices of goods displayed on the web site are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Delivery will be charged in addition to the quoted prices as indicated in the checkout pages.
Our delivery charge for standard sized items is £6.95 per order with free delivery on orders over £50 (excluding the delivery charge)
Prices and delivery charges quoted on the web site are clearly displayed and only apply to goods delivered within mainland UK. In the Highlands of Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man delivery will cost more. A higher delivery charge may apply to other certain postcodes - you will be informed of this shortly after making your order. We currently do not deliver to the Channel Islands, BFPO addresses or to International addresses. Please contact us for clarification of delivery charges to non-mainland areas.
Any promotional codes used on this website are applicable to products only. The £6.95 delivery charge is only discountable if your basket value is over £50 after any applied discount, where the delivery charge will be zero. Promotional codes are valid for a period of 7 days unless otherwise stated from the date of first issue. We reserve the right to withdraw any offer at any time.
3. Credit Cards and Debit Cards
When placing an order you will be asked for your credit or debit card details.
Chiltern Mills accepts credit and debit cards from Visa, MasterCard, Switch/Maestro, Solo, Electron and Visa Debit.
Paypoint, an independent Payment Service Provider for authorising online credit and debit card payments, first checks the card details used to purchase goods. You will be informed by e-mail if Paypoint cannot accept the processing of the card within one working day.
This protects both you as a customer and Chiltern Mills as a supplier of goods against fraudulent transactions.
4. Delivery of goods
This policy applies to orders made via the website. In store policies may vary.

Dispatch typically occurs within 5-7 working days (subject to stock availability).
Chiltern Mills employs City Link, a nationally recognised courier service, to deliver your goods. Delivery is free on all orders that weigh up to and including 30Kg, with a value of more than £50, (excluding delivery charge) to all areas where we deliver goods. Where we offer free delivery on a single item this item is not included in the weight limit; delivery will still be chargeable if the rest of the items combined exceed 30kg in weight. Delivery is charged at £6.95 for most parts of Britain. Deliveries to Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Mann, offshore Scotland & other islands will incur an additional charge. There are other certain Postcodes in Scotland that will incur this charge. This charge is £16.95 for delivery. Delivery to these areas normally takes 2 –3 working days but in some cases can take up to 4 working days. You will be able to see the total delivery charge for your order in Step 3 (Delivery Information) of the Checkout process before you confirm and pay for your order.
At the moment we cannot deliver to the Republic of Ireland.
At this time we are unfortunately unable to deliver internationally or to any BFPO addresses.
Please note: you must ensure there will be someone present at the delivery address to sign for the parcel(s). However we can leave your parcel in a "safe place" if you specify on the special instructions section in the checkout. Items are left in your specified "safe place" at your own risk. If you want to change the delivery address after making your order then an additional charge of £13.90 will be charged if the addresses are within mainland U.K, elsewhere will cost more. Please ensure you correct the delivery address before confirming the order. Where the delivery address is different from the cardholder's address we reserve the right to contact you before dispatching the goods and, if we feel necessary, cancel the order.
Any changes in the expected delivery time will be e-mailed to you within one working day of you placing your order (Monday to Friday, excluding Bank/Public Holidays).

5. Right to cancel an order
You may cancel your order at any stage before the goods are dispatched to you.
To cancel an order you can contact our Customer Service Centre or use the history section of the My Account Section of the web site. If you would like to send an e-mail to cancel an order please click here.
Once your order has been dispatched then your order cannot be cancelled. If you would like to return your order please follow the Returns and Refunds Policy.
6. Returns and Refunds policy
If you are not satisfied with any of the goods delivered, you may return them to Chiltern Mills within 14 days of delivery. Returns should be made using a traceable system with tracking codes such as: City Link, Royal Mail recorded etc as we will not accept liability for items lost in transit. We shall refund any unused items that are returned to us in their original saleable condition and with the original packaging. For any items that are not returned in their original saleable condition we reserve the right to refund only a percentage of the original purchase price.
Please note that we are unable to accept returns specifically of used bedlinen for hygiene reasons, used mattresses, of curtains where header tape has been drawn, or any made to measure or cut to length items and of furniture which has been assembled. This list is a guide only and is not exhaustive.
The delivery charge is non-refundable. If you are returning goods because you do not want them you are also liable for the cost of the return (£6.95 typical cost, agreed prior to return) - this will be deducted from your refund upon receipt of the goods by us.
You can notify Chiltern Mills through the Customer Service Centre or take the goods to one of the stores. If you contact the Customer Service Centre you should quote the sales invoice number, the goods that you are returning, the price paid and the quantity ordered.
If you are returning the goods to the shop then you must return the goods with the sales invoice. A customer service representative will inspect the goods returned and mark the item(s) as received on the invoice. They will then take a copy of this invoice for our records, returning a copy to you. The goods are then transported to the internet store on the next available van, whereupon they are inspected and a refund will then be issued as appropriate. We regret that it is not possible to issue a refund directly to you in store at the time of return.
7. Exchanging Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods
If the goods we deliver are faulty or damaged or not what you ordered, Chiltern Mills will exchange the goods immediately or issue a full credit to you including delivery charges upon receipt of said goods. You must notify us of any faults or damages or mistakes within 2 days of receipt of delivery. To help keep our prices as low as possible we may ask you to send the goods back to us by Recorded Delivery. We will refund any delivery charges you incur.
If you are not satisfied with the goods for any other reason, we will exchange or refund any unused items in their original saleable condition and original packaging, if you return the goods within 14 days of delivery.
8. Collection of goods
When we arrange to collect goods, City Link will carry this out on Chiltern Mills behalf. We will pay for the return of these goods. For other goods, the cost of the return will be at your expense.
Chiltern Mills makes every effort to deliver the goods on time and ensure they match your expectations.
Pictures of packaging are for illustrative purposes only; the packaging you receive your item in may vary.
However, we cannot be held liable in any circumstances for non-performance of our trading terms because we are impeded by events such as acts of God, war and other hostilities, accidents, strikes, import delays and other events not within the reasonable control of Chiltern Mills.
We reserve the right to remove offensive and derogatory content of any kind regarding Chiltern Mills, its services or employees that is written in the public domain on social networking websites.
In order to provide a more personalised shopping experience for you, Chiltern Mills have used "cookies" to identify returning individual shoppers to the site.
Cookies are "programming tags" that are transferred onto your hard drive to enable us to recognise your browser. You are able to turn off these cookies in your web browser if you require.

Chiltern Mills reserves the right to review and change its terms and conditions of sale.
Any changes to these terms and conditions will be notified on this web site. However, any order placed will be subject to the terms and conditions in force at the time of sale.
